Afcons Wins ₹1,918 Cr BMC Desalinated Water Tunnel Deal

Afcons Infrastructure Ltd. has expanded its urban infrastructure portfolio after receiving a ₹1,918 crore contract from the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC). The scope covers the turnkey design, construction, and O&M for a desalinated water conveyance tunnel linking Manori to Kandivali's Mahavir Nagar via Charkop. "The desalinated water conveyance tunnel is a critical step towards ensuring sustainable water supply for Mumbai," noted Executive Chairman Krishnamurthy Subramanian. Managing Director S. Paramasivan highlighted that this project will run in tandem with the ongoing Kasheli–Mulund tunnel, reinforcing Afcons’ leadership in complex water conveyance systems across India and global markets in East and West Africa.
