Ahmedabad's Infrastructure Surge: Shah Launches ₹146 Crore Projects

Union Home Minister Amit Shah virtually inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for multiple development projects worth ₹146 crore in Ahmedabad on March 13, 2025.

Key projects include a ₹60-crore railway overbridge on the Ahmedabad-Viramgam track at Sanand-Chekhla-Kadi Road to improve local commuting. Other major developments are a ₹36.3-crore four-lane bridge over the Narmada Canal on National Highway 147 and a ₹45-crore flyover on the SG Highway at Chharodi.

Emphasizing Gujarat’s leadership in infrastructure development, Shah highlighted that these projects will enhance connectivity, boost employment, and support industry and business. Additionally, he announced a 500-bed hospital in Sanand, offering round-the-clock services for Sanand and Bavla talukas, along with a 300-bed government hospital in Kalol Taluka.
