The Government of Andhra Pradesh, through the AP Economic Development Board (APEDB), has signed an MoU with Tillman Global Holdings to develop a 300 MW hyperscale data centre campus (TDGAP1) in Visakhapatnam, with an investment of ₹15,000 crore.
Aimed at positioning Andhra Pradesh as a leading digital infrastructure hub in India and the Indo-Pacific, the agreement was formalised during the US-India Strategic Partnership Forum (USISPF) Roundtable in New Delhi. The signing was witnessed by HRD and IT Minister Nara Lokesh, USISPF Chairman John Chambers, Adobe CEO Shantanu Narayen, Infosys CEO Salil Parekh, and other industry leaders. Spread across 40 acres, the data centre campus is expected to create 200–300 direct jobs and up to 1,000 indirect jobs by 2028, spurring growth in cloud services, logistics, and related sectors.
Under the MoU, APEDB will lead project facilitation, while Tillman Global will provide investment, design, and technological capabilities. The initiative highlights Andhra Pradesh’s commitment to building a strong digital ecosystem through strategic global collaborations.
