Aster DM Healthcare Ramps Up with Rs 850 Crore Bonanza

Aster DM Healthcare is embarking on a significant expansion initiative, intending to augment its capacity by adding 1,500 beds within the next two to three years, with an investment of approximately Rs 800-850 crore.

This expansion endeavor will elevate the healthcare provider's bed count in India to over 6,000, inclusive of forthcoming projects such as Aster Capital in Thiruvananthapuram, featuring more than 350 beds in its initial phase by FY26, and Aster MIMS Kasargod, which will accommodate about 200-plus beds. Furthermore, it will facilitate capacity enhancements in existing facilities such as Medcity, MIMS Kannur, and Aster Whitefield, with increments of approximately 100 beds each and 159 beds, respectively.

The company is also actively exploring prospects in Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, and Uttar Pradesh as part of its market entry strategy. In line with its current operational model in terms of scale and infrastructure, Aster DM Healthcare is evaluating Pune and Nagpur as potential locations for establishing new hospitals.

Currently, the multispecialty hospital chain operates across Kerala, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, and Telangana, boasting a network of 19 hospitals, 13 clinics, and 226 pharmacies, with a cumulative operational bed capacity exceeding 4,000 beds in India.
