The Bengal Silicon Valley Tech Hub, Kolkata’s flagship futuristic technology park, is poised for a significant operational milestone with three leading data center companies — NTT, ST Telemedia, and CtrlS Datacenters — set to begin operations soon. Their upcoming launch marks a major step forward for the 250-acre hub located in New Town, signaling its emergence as a critical digital infrastructure destination.
These firms are among the 41 companies allotted land parcels within the expansive tech park. Backed by the Government of West Bengal under the leadership of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, the project is expected to drive substantial economic impact. Projections estimate that the Bengal Silicon Valley will attract investments worth ₹30,000–₹35,000 crore, while generating nearly 100,000 direct and indirect employment opportunities.
The entry of these top-tier data center operators is expected to cement Bengal Silicon Valley’s status as a premier technology hub in Eastern India, fostering a dynamic ecosystem of innovation, enterprise, and digital transformation.
