Bharat Forge Boosts Make in India with FN Herstal and Thales Deals

Bharat Forge’s defense subsidiary, Kalyani Strategic Systems (KSSL), has forged two major partnerships to advance local manufacturing. KSSL has partnered with FN Herstal to explore a joint venture for an Indian production center focused on integrated weapon systems, C-UAS technologies, and other defense solutions. Additionally, KSSL has signed a strategic alliance with Thales to jointly develop and produce unguided and laser-guided 70-mm rocket systems domestically. These dual agreements highlight Bharat Forge's ongoing strategy to expand its footprint in advanced defense localization.
