At a meeting held on 29 July 2025, the Bihar Cabinet approved the establishment of a ₹36.01 crore lead-acid battery and plate manufacturing facility in Purnea, to be set up by Mizuki Power Products. The plant is expected to generate employment for around 200 skilled and unskilled workers, with an annual production capacity of 8.40 lakh battery plates and 6 lakh batteries.
In a key infrastructure decision, the Cabinet sanctioned ₹1,121.41 crore for civil and electrification works at the State Sports Academy-cum-International Cricket Stadium in Rajgir.
Other approvals included:
₹320.01 crore for a water supply project in Supaul, benefiting iron-affected villages. ₹293.94 crore for a drinking water scheme in Kaimur, targeting water-scarce rural areas.
Land allocation at token rates to Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan for school buildings and staff quarters in Gopalganj and Darbhanga.
Additionally, major urban infrastructure projects were cleared:
₹675.50 crore for Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Path Chakra in Patna. ₹696.26 crore for a new flyover in Chhapra.
₹1,368.46 crore for a road and elevated corridor near Digha Bridge, Patna.
These decisions reflect the state’s continued push toward industrial development, urban connectivity, and public service infrastructure.
