Cabinet Nods to ₹1,722 Cr Sea Link-Savarkar Bridge Connector

The Maharashtra cabinet’s sub-committee on infrastructure has approved a ₹1,722.40 crore project to construct a 3.55-km connector road in Mumbai. The project will bridge the Bandra Fort end of the Versova-Bandra Sea Link (VBSL) with the Savarkar Sea Bridge to streamline traffic across the city’s coastal network.

Formally cleared by a committee of secretaries on June 17, the proposal received its final nod during a sub-committee meeting chaired by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. The Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC) has been designated as the implementing agency for the project, which aims to drastically reduce travel times between South Mumbai and the western suburbs.
