Campus Activewear has announced a planned investment of ₹230 crore to expand its manufacturing capacity by the end of FY 2027–28, aimed at driving business growth and strengthening backward integration in its production ecosystem.
As part of the expansion strategy, the company has acquired land and a building from Nainipanel Industries located in Sector-05, IIE SIIDCUL, Pantnagar Industrial Area, Uttarakhand. Spanning 47,000 sq. metres, the asset was purchased for ₹74.75 crore in an all-cash transaction executed on September 2, 2025. The facility will be used to scale up the production of semi-finished components such as soles and uppers, as well as for footwear assembly.
At present, Campus operates with an annual production capacity of 8.4 million pairs of uppers and 30.7 million pairs for assembly, with current utilization levels at 80% and 75% respectively. The expansion is expected to add an additional 7.2 million pairs per annum for both uppers and assembly within the next 2.5 years from the acquisition date.
The investment will be funded entirely through internal accruals, and the acquisition is not a related party transaction. The only regulatory requirement pending is a transfer approval from SIIDCUL.
This move reinforces Campus Activewear’s commitment to scaling domestic production, enhancing operational efficiency, and maintaining its leadership in the Indian footwear market.
