Maharashtra Maritime Board performed the 'Bhumi Pujan' ceremony for a jetty in Dombivli’s Mothagaon area as part of an ongoing water transport project.
Construction has commenced at Mothagaon Bay, following previous work on jetties in Vasai and Thane.
The state government recently approved an additional Rs 80 crore for the project, allocating Rs 22 crore specifically for the Dombivli jetty. This initiative aims to improve waterway connectivity between Dombivli, Thane, Bhiwandi, and Vasai.
