Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha inaugurated major water supply infrastructure projects in Agartala, marking a significant step in the city’s development. At an event held at Rabindra Centenary Bhavan, he launched 45 deep tube wells and 27 iron removal plants under the AMRUT 2.0 scheme. The initiative also includes the installation of 206 km of new pipelines, enabling 16,224 households to receive direct access to clean drinking water.
Dr. Saha highlighted the government’s commitment to strengthening urban services and improving the city’s water distribution network to ensure consistent potable water for residents. The projects reflect the state’s broader effort to enhance civic amenities and support sustainable growth for Agartala’s expanding population.
