From Pune to the World: Vertiv's Global Thermal Innovation Takes Root

Vertiv, a leading global provider of essential digital infrastructure and continuity solutions, has recently inaugurated a cutting-edge manufacturing facility located in Chakan, Pune, Maharashtra. This state-of-the-art plant focuses on the production of tailored thermal management products and solutions catering to diverse sectors such as data centers, telecommunications, commercial, and industrial applications, serving both domestic and international markets.

Covering an expansive area of 2,10,000 sq. ft./19,510 sq. mtrs., the facility is equipped to manufacture an extensive range of cooling solutions, ranging from 200 W to 2 MW+. This includes innovative offerings such as adiabatic free cooling chillers, large custom air handling units (AHU), thermal wall units, a new line of large direct expansion (DX) systems, packaged DX units, and free cooling with economizer units. Additionally, the facility produces a new series of in-row cooling units, wall mount units, and rack cooling systems.

Noteworthy features of the facility include psychometric labs for rigorous performance testing, a dedicated customer experience center, and robust design support capabilities. Situated within an India Green Building Council (IGBC) compliant park that prioritizes sustainability, the facility underscores Vertiv's commitment to environmental responsibility.

This strategic expansion is expected to enhance Vertiv's thermal management capacity, reduce lead times, and bolster its capability to deliver large and sophisticated solutions. Vertiv aims to align its solutions with India's distinct environmental and infrastructural requirements, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.

Moreover, the new manufacturing plant is poised to contribute to India's growing prominence as a data center hub in the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region. As global digitization and the rapid adoption of Artificial Intelligence (AI) continue, the demand for increased capacity, particularly in data center thermal and power infrastructure, is on the rise. Vertiv's investment in this facility reflects its commitment to meeting this demand and supporting the evolving digital landscape.
