Gadkari's Vision: The Kamptee-Koradi Infrastructure Leap

Nagpur’s Kamptee–Koradi–Kanhan belt and nearby villages are set to undergo a major phase of integrated development, with several key infrastructure and civic projects in the pipeline.

Union Minister Nitin Gadkari underscored the need for strong coordination among the Central and State governments, Railways, NHAI, MahaMetro, and local bodies such as NIT, NMRDA, and NMC to ensure smooth implementation.

During a recent review meeting chaired by the Union Minister, major initiatives were discussed — including the construction of a ten-storey commercial mall at Neelam Lawn on Kamptee–Kalamna Road, for which MahaMetro is managing the tender process.

Other proposed developments include a flyover from Naka Koradi to Bokhara railway crossing, beautification of the Metro track, and a ropeway connecting Koradi Mahadev Temple with the Mahagenco balancing reservoir. Reports on the Uppalwadi underpass and Outer Ring Road projects are also in progress, with final approvals expected soon.

These coordinated efforts aim to strengthen regional connectivity, enhance infrastructure, and drive sustained economic growth across the area.
