Goa Boosts Infrastructure with ₹149 Crore Projects!

The Goa State Infrastructure Development Corporation (GSIDC) has approved infrastructure projects worth ₹149 crore during its 206th board meeting, chaired by Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant.

The sanctioned projects aim to enhance public convenience, urban renewal, and institutional infrastructure across the state. Notable approvals include:

A new boys’ hostel at Goa Medical College, Bambolim, estimated at ₹113 crore.

Demolition and reconstruction of a bridge at St Estevam village, North Goa, with a budget of ₹21 crore.

Redevelopment of the old bus stand in Margao, South Goa, at an estimated cost of ₹12 crore.

Upgradation of the Sankhalim municipal market and redevelopment of old government buildings in Margao.

Highlighting the government’s focus on modernising Goa’s civic infrastructure, CM Sawant stated, “These projects reflect our commitment to creating accessible, people-centric facilities as part of the Viksit Goa 2037 vision.” He also reaffirmed GSIDC’s key role in delivering high-quality, timely infrastructure across the state.
