Green Light for Aluva’s New 190 MLD Water Treatment Plant

A major breakthrough has been achieved for Kochi’s infrastructure with the Kerala government approving the revised DPR for the 190 MLD Aluva water treatment plant. Set to become Ernakulam's second-largest water facility, the project is backed by the Asian Development Bank and includes new storage tanks and upgraded pipeline networks. Following successful talks between Water Resources Minister Mons Joseph, KWA officials, and local legislators, construction is expected to begin shortly on KWA land near Matha Theatre, effectively resolving long-standing drinking water issues in the region.
