Delhi’s 2025-26 Budget prioritizes infrastructure development, allocating ₹28,000 crore for water, electricity, roads, and urban projects.
Chief Minister Rekha Gupta highlighted that the city is entering a new era of traffic-free expressways, seamless connectivity, elevated corridors, and advanced surveillance systems. Capital expenditure has nearly doubled to ₹28,115.48 crore in 2025-26, up from ₹15,089.25 crore last year.
“This budget for ‘Viksit Delhi’ reflects our strong commitment to enhancing roads, drainage, sewerage, healthcare, and education,” the CM stated.
With a total budget of ₹1 lakh crore, primarily funded through ₹68,700 crore in tax revenue, the government has allocated ₹59,300 crore for schemes, programs, and projects driving urban transformation.
