ABB India has inaugurated a new production line for Variable Speed Drive (VSD) modules at its Peenya factory in Bengaluru, enhancing its local manufacturing capacity by 25 percent.
This expansion reinforces the company’s commitment to the ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’ and ‘Make in India’ initiatives, while addressing the growing demand for energy-efficient drive solutions across sectors such as buildings, data centers, water, cement, and metals. By localizing production, ABB India expects to reduce lead times by up to 40 percent, significantly improving delivery speed and customer responsiveness.
The new production line integrates advanced robotics and digital monitoring systems, fully aligned with Industry 4.0 standards, to ensure precision, quality, and operational efficiency. The ergonomically designed line automates the manufacturing of critical components, combining cutting-edge robotics with real-time digital insights for faster and more accurate batch processing.
