Niphad Dry Port: Nashik’s Next Big Leap in Global Logistics

The upcoming Niphad Dry Port and Multi-Modal Logistics Park (MMLP), developed by the Jawaharlal Nehru Port Authority (JNPA), is poised to transform regional agriculture and trade in Nashik. Designed to connect local Agricultural Produce Market Committees (APMCs) directly to domestic and global markets, the facility extends key services—like customs clearance—to key agricultural hubs such as Lasalgaon and Pimpalgaon Baswant.

Beyond export-import cargo handling, the MMLP offers seamless multi-modal connectivity across the Samruddhi Mahamarg, Nashik-Chennai Expressway, rail routes, and Ozar Airport. Integrated with national grain storage initiatives and backed by streamlined JNPA traffic operations, the project significantly cuts logistics losses, simplifies trade for local farmers, and anchors Nashik firmly on India's economic map.
