Nirma Plans to build a Cargo Handling Facility Project in Gujarat

Nirma Limited, a prominent soap and detergent manufacturer, intends to build a new captive jetty and ancillary facilities in Kalatalav, Gujarat. The project intends to improve material handling and transportation, cut logistics costs, and assist Nirma's current plant development. In stages I and II, the project will cost 600 crores, with the goals of avoiding numerous handling expenses, minimizing environmental effect, and ensuring dependable raw material supply.

The kind of this project is a Cargo Handling Facility.

The cost of the project is 600 Crores. Cost of Phase I of the Project: 180 Crores, 420 Crores = Total Cost of Phase II Project

The Goals of the Project

In order to cut down on the many handling and transportation expenditures that are connected with material imports via Bhavnagar New Port

In order to reduce the negative effects that material transportation has on the environment.

To provide a consistent supply of raw materials in order to support Nirma's current plant's development and to better meet customer demand.

As on November 2023, The project is currently in the stage of being approved currently awaiting approval from the government.
