Pi Data Centers has announced the Phase I launch of a 3-megawatt data centre facility in central Mumbai, with commercial operations slated to commence in August 2026.
The new facility is designed to support hyperscale, colocation, and cloud services, addressing the growing demand for high-capacity data storage and processing. Real estate consultancy firm JLL served as the exclusive adviser for the lease transaction of Pi’s first Mumbai site and is also supporting plans for a 23-megawatt expansion, in line with the company’s broader strategy to strengthen its national presence.
Pi Data Centers currently operates a 60-megawatt hyperscale facility in Amaravati and is developing an additional 3-megawatt data centre in Hyderabad, which is expected to become operational in October 2026.
The Mumbai facility marks a strategic addition to the city’s digital ecosystem, reinforcing its position as a key technology and financial hub while supporting the rising demand for cloud computing, data storage, and enterprise digital transformation across industries.
