Pithampur's ₹1,110 Crore Logistics Park Kicks Off Development

Development has commenced on the proposed Multi Modal Logistics Park (MMLP) near Pithampur in Madhya Pradesh’s Dhar district, featuring a dedicated commercial zone occupying approximately 10% of its total 112.6-hectare area.

Estimated at Rs 1,110.6 crore, the MMLP will be divided into multiple functional zones to support a range of logistics and industrial operations. According to Himanshu Prajapati, Executive Director of MPIDC Indore, “Possession of the proposed land has been secured, and development work at the park is now underway. This project will be a game-changer for the state, significantly boosting industrial and logistics growth.”

Planned under a PPP (DBFOT) model, the park will offer facilities such as warehousing, specialised storage, cargo handling (bulk and container), freight transport, customs EDI services, and cargo scanning. It spans 90 hectares of private land from Kheda, Akolia, Sagor, and Jamodi villages, along with 22 hectares of government land.

A special purpose vehicle (SPV) comprising National Highways Logistics Management Ltd (NHLML), Rail Vikas Nigam Ltd (RVNL), and MPIDC will oversee execution and operations of the project.
