RackBank's ₹3,000 Crore Bet on Chhattisgarh's AI Ecosystem

RackBank, a leading data centre infrastructure provider, has launched Chhattisgarh's first AI Data Centre Park in Raipur, marking a major milestone in the state’s digital transformation. Inaugurated by Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, the facility spans 13.5 acres and represents an initial investment of ₹1,000 crore, with total investment projected to reach ₹3,000 crore over the next five years.

Purpose-built to meet India’s growing demand for AI and high-performance computing, the data centre will house up to 1,00,000 GPUs and deliver 80 MW of power in its initial phase, eventually scaling to 160 MW across four development phases. The infrastructure leverages advanced liquid cooling technology to optimize energy efficiency and sustainability for intensive AI workloads.

Envisioned as a hub for collaboration among academia, industry, and government, the AI Data Centre Park aims to foster an innovation-driven ecosystem. The Chief Minister emphasized its strategic importance in driving Chhattisgarh's transition to a digital and knowledge-based economy.
