RailTel's Rs 125 Crore Initiative for Western Railways

RailTel Corporation of India has secured a significant work order from Western Railways valued at Rs 124.90 crore. This contract involves the implementation of a comprehensive communication infrastructure project. The scope of work includes the deployment of unified communication infrastructure, incorporating Internet Protocol Multi-Protocol Label Switching (IPMPLS) LAN Infra, voice over internet protocol (VoIP) exchange, IP-based control communication, and the replacement of the unified Ticketing network (UTN) across Western Railway.

Notably, RailTel Corporation of India had previously clinched a contract from Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti. This earlier project, valued at Rs 162.73 crore, entailed the supply and execution of integrated infrastructure and IT solutions under the PM SHRI Scheme in Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas (JNVs) Schools.
