Reliance Industries, led by Mukesh Ambani, has signed an agreement with the Andhra Pradesh government to establish a one-gigawatt AI data centre, set to become one of Asia’s most advanced AI hubs. The facility will operate as a twin to Reliance’s gigawatt-scale data centre in Jamnagar and will be equipped to support high-performance AI processors, including GPUs and TPUs. Through the MyJio platform, Reliance aims to democratise AI access for students, farmers, and entrepreneurs across the state.
To ensure sustainable power for the data centre, Reliance will also develop a 6 GWp solar project in Andhra Pradesh. In addition, the company is setting up a greenfield integrated food park in Kurnool. Reliance has a strong and expanding presence in the state across retail, digital services, and oil & gas, with cumulative investments exceeding USD 25 billion.
