₹381 Crore Boost: Gujarat's High-Speed Plan for SOU

The Gujarat state government has approved a ₹381.86 crore project to develop a high-speed corridor connecting Vadodara to the Statue of Unity (SOU) in Kevadia.

Designed to enhance connectivity to this major tourist attraction and surrounding religious sites, the project aims to reduce travel time and fuel consumption for commuters.

The groundbreaking ceremony was led by Dabhoi MLA Shailesh Mehta. Under the Road and Building Department, the project will include three elevated overbridges at Ratanpur, Kelanpur, and Dabhoi-Shinor crossroads, along with an underpass near Thuvavi.

Once completed, the high-speed corridor will offer a smoother and more efficient travel experience for visitors to the world’s tallest statue, the Statue of Unity, dedicated to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.
