Commuters traveling through Koregaon Park, VVIP Circuit House, Bund Garden, and Wadia College face a further five-month delay, as the Sadhu Vaswani Bridge is now projected for completion by December 2026.
During an inspection on Tuesday, civic chief Naval Kishore Ram instructed officials to finish all remaining work by the end of December and announced that project progress will be reviewed monthly to ensure steady construction momentum.
According to project officials, the installation of a 54-metre-long Open Web Girder is planned for completion by September, which will clear the way for the construction of the remaining spans.
Originally scheduled for completion within two and a half years of breaking ground, the project timeline has been officially extended. Upon completion, the new bridge aims to significantly enhance connectivity and alleviate traffic congestion for residents and commuters in the surrounding neighborhoods.
