Shree Saibaba Sails Forward: Targhar Jetty Terminal Expansion in Maharashtra

Shree Saibaba Sand Dredging Company Private Limited is spearheading a transformative initiative with its Multipurpose Jetty Terminal project in Targhar, Raigad, Maharashtra. With a project cost of ₹4.80 Crore, this endeavor aims to develop a state-of-the-art facility to cater to diverse maritime needs and enhance coastal infrastructure.

The project encompasses several key features designed to meet current demands and accommodate future growth. At its core is the jetty, initially sized at 35 meters long and 15 meters wide. Future expansion plans include extending the jetty to 100 meters parallel to the shoreline, ensuring scalability and adaptability to evolving requirements.

In addition to the jetty, the project includes a storage yard spanning an initial area of 2.5 acres, with plans to increase it to 6 acres. This expansive yard provides ample space for storing various types of cargo, facilitating efficient logistics operations and enhancing port capabilities.

Furthermore, the project incorporates essential buildings and facilities essential for seamless terminal operations. These include administrative buildings, parking areas, fabrication workspaces, and dedicated storage areas for bulk cargo, break bulk cargo, and more, ensuring the terminal's functionality and efficiency.

Beyond infrastructure development, the project encompasses dredging and reclamation activities to optimize waterfront access and utilize intertidal areas effectively. Plans to dredge a 100 m x 200 m area in front of the waterfront to a depth of -3 m and reclaim 3,000 sq. m of intertidal area underscore the project's comprehensive approach to port development and management.

As the project is still in the development stage, stakeholders are encouraged to seek additional information from reliable sources such as news articles, press releases, or official project documents. Moreover, understanding the project's environmental impact and potential mitigation measures, if available, can provide valuable insights into its sustainability and long-term viability.
