Sigma Advanced Systems has secured an export order valued at USD 21.97 million (approximately Rs 208 crore) for the manufacture and supply of 40,000 units of 155 mm M107 artillery shell bodies to a North American customer.
The contract is scheduled to be executed over a six-month period, with production and deliveries expected to be completed within the agreed timeline. The project involves the manufacturing of 155 mm artillery shell bodies, a critical component that demands advanced metallurgical capabilities, precision engineering, and stringent quality control standards. The company has already received the necessary export authorisation from the Department of Defence Production under the Ministry of Defence, paving the way for contract execution.
The sizeable order underscores Sigma Advanced Systems’ ability to undertake high-volume defence manufacturing programmes while meeting demanding international quality and performance requirements. It also reflects the growing competitiveness of Indian defence manufacturers in global markets.
