Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel unveiled a ₹435.45 crore development package for Surat, inaugurating projects worth ₹73 crore and laying the foundation stone for additional initiatives valued at ₹362.45 crore. The comprehensive package aims to enhance public infrastructure and urban quality of life.
The announcement was made during a development event at the Sanjeev Kumar Auditorium in Adajan-Pal, attended by Union Minister of Jal Shakti C.R. Patil, Finance Minister Kanubhai Desai, Minister of State Harsh Sanghavi, and Forest Minister Mukesh Patel.
In a gesture of appreciation, the Chief Minister also met with sanitation workers, acknowledging their vital contribution to Surat’s recognition under the 'Super Swachh League'. As part of a broader educational push, robotics labs have been introduced in 18 Suman Schools to foster AI-based learning and digital literacy among students.
Highlighting Surat’s rapid urban transformation over the last two decades, CM Patel reaffirmed the government’s focus on sustainable, citizen-centric development and improving the city's ranking on the Ease of Living index.
