Techno Digital's 36 MW Data Center Elevates Chennai's Digital Hub

Techno Digital, the digital infrastructure subsidiary of Techno Electric & Engineering Company (TEECL), has inaugurated a 36 MW hyperscale data centre at SIPCOT IT Park, Siruseri, in Chennai, marking a significant milestone in India’s evolving digital infrastructure landscape.

Spread across 200,000 sq. ft., the facility accommodates approximately 2,400 high-density racks, supporting power densities of 10 kW to over 50 kW per rack—placing it among the most technologically advanced data centres in the country. Strategically located in Chennai’s IT corridor, it offers direct access to submarine cable landing stations and domestic internet exchanges, coupled with strong climate resilience.

Key features include:

110 kV GIS substation, Dual-source underground power feeds, Advanced UPS systems, certified for NVIDIA GB200 series, High-efficiency cooling via centrifugal chillers and adiabatic towers

Ankit Saraiya, Director & CEO of Techno Digital, stated that the project reflects the company’s commitment to building a “future-ready digital ecosystem”, aligned with the Government of India’s Digital India mission.

The facility also emphasizes sustainability, incorporating:

Adiabatic cooling systems, Energy-efficient façades, Water recycling infrastructure, Dedicated green zones

It meets Rated 3+ reliability standards and is on track to earn USGBC Gold certification.
