Telangana Welcomes Hyundai: 450 Acres for New NIMZ Hub

Hyundai is set to launch operations at the National Investment and Manufacturing Zone (NIMZ) in Zaheerabad, Sangareddy district, with 450 acres of land allocated for its facility.

Announcing this at a public meeting in Pastapur, Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy pledged rapid industrial development in the region. He highlighted the potential of the 12,500-acre NIMZ to emerge as a major manufacturing hub. The Chief Minister also assured that all 5,612 landowners affected by the project would be provided housing under the Indiramma Housing Scheme, with compensation rates revised following discussions with farmers.

The government will support the establishment of a sugar industry in the area, contingent upon the formation of farmer cooperatives, with joint efforts from the state and central governments. Additionally, the CM committed to resolving water supply issues, constructing highway underpasses, and securing central funding for infrastructure.

Drawing parallels with the industrial growth witnessed during Indira Gandhi’s era—marked by the establishment of BDL and the Ordnance Factory—the Chief Minister expressed his vision of transforming Zaheerabad and its surroundings into a thriving industrial zone.
