The Indo-Japan Harmony Park: A ₹124 Cr Vision

Prayagraj is set to develop a unique Indo-Japanese Cultural Park worth Rs 124 crore, symbolising a blend of Indian Sanatan traditions and Japanese Shinto philosophy. Planned along the Yamuna riverbank in Arail, the project aims to promote global harmony by showcasing shared values such as peace, nature reverence, and spiritual discipline.

According to Rohit Kumar Rana, project manager at Construction and Design Services (CNDS), the three-hectare park will be built near Shivalaya Park and will feature immersive thematic zones. Key elements include a Torii Gate, Japanese and Zen gardens, and spaces reflecting Indian temple architecture, yoga, and traditional cultural practices such as Ikebana and the Tea Ceremony.

Inspired by the success of Mahakumbh-2025, the park marks a new cultural milestone for Prayagraj and is envisioned as a symbol of cross-cultural unity.
