The Government of Tamil Nadu, through the Tamil Nadu Urban Infrastructure Financial Services (TNUIFSL), has invited proposals from global and domestic consultants to formulate 25-year City Infrastructure Development Plans (CIDPs) for key urban centers across the state.
Funded by the World Bank under the Tamil Nadu Climate Resilient Urban Development Project, this initiative aligns with the Chief Minister's Integrated Urban Development Mission (CMIUDM) 2026–2031. Divided into five proposal packages, the project encompasses 15 municipal corporations—including Chennai, Coimbatore, Salem, and Tirunelveli—as well as the Udhagamandalam Special Grade Municipality. The selected agencies will employ GIS mapping, ground inspections, and stakeholder dialogues to evaluate baseline services across mobility, water, public health, education, and digital infrastructure while embedding climate resilience into long-term growth strategies.
