Velloe (EVOCS) Targets India’s Data Gap with ₹100 Cr Investment

Velloe, the Indian arm of US-based consulting firm Evolution Cloud Services (EVOCS), has announced a ₹100 crore investment to expand India’s digital infrastructure. The move addresses a critical gap in the market: while India consumes nearly 30% of the world’s data, it currently hosts just 3% of global data infrastructure.

Driven by rising demand for data sovereignty and local regulatory focus, the investment will accelerate the development of sovereign data centres. "Local private investors recognize sovereignty as a major motivating factor to fund infrastructure," said Thomas Marcin, CEO of Velloe. "We have the expertise and understand the rationality behind building sovereign data centres, and we’re here to help." Velloe expects India’s booming digital economy and rapid cloud adoption to unlock massive opportunities for localized infrastructure development.
