Virtuoso Powers Up "Make in India" with New Compressor Plant

Virtuoso Optoelectronics, through its wholly-owned subsidiary Virtuoso Compressors, has begun manufacturing reciprocatory compressors for domestic and commercial refrigeration at its new facility in Nashik, Maharashtra.

The plant has an annual production capacity of 2.8 million units, producing compressors ranging from 3 cc to 15 cc in both fixed and variable speed variants, designed to meet a wide range of cooling requirements.

Developed in technical collaboration with global leaders Huayi Compressor (Jingzhou), Jiaxipera Compressor, and supported by Shenzhen Eateron Company, the facility brings advanced compressor technology and manufacturing expertise to the Indian market.

This strategic move is expected to enhance local manufacturing capabilities, reduce reliance on imports, and align with the government’s “Make in India” initiative. With this launch, Virtuoso positions itself as a key contributor to India’s growing cooling ecosystem, with a focus on energy-efficient and environmentally sustainable refrigeration solutions.
