The Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways (MoPSW) has cleared a ₹334.89-crore internal flyover project for the Visakhapatnam Port Authority. Spearheaded by Shipping Minister Sarbananda Sonowal, the 3.584-km elevated corridor linking Convent Junction to the Dock Area aims to eliminate critical bottlenecks, segregate road and rail traffic, and significantly boost cargo evacuation and operational efficiency at the port.
