YEIDA Launches Consultant Search for ₹450 Cr Electronics Hub

The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) has launched the process to appoint a consultant for the design and management of infrastructure development for a ₹450 crore electronics technology hub in Sector 10, near the upcoming Noida International Airport.

Spanning 206 acres, the project is targeted for completion by January 2028 and is expected to generate employment for over 31,000 people — including 11,000 direct and 20,000 indirect jobs. Its location offers strategic advantages due to its proximity to the Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor, the Noida International Airport, and dedicated freight corridors, making it an attractive destination for both domestic and international electronics manufacturers.

A major feature of the cluster is the allocation of 50 acres to Havells, which will serve as the anchor unit. The company plans to invest ₹800 crore to set up a manufacturing facility for fans, air conditioners, switchgear, cables, and lighting products. The facility is expected to become operational by 2026 and create over 1,000 jobs in its first phase.

The Central government has approved ₹144 crore for the project under the Electronics Manufacturing Cluster (EMC) 2.0 scheme, while YEIDA will contribute ₹340 crore. The remaining 156 acres will include 66 industrial plots of various sizes, with 39 acres dedicated to infrastructure such as roads and green spaces.
