Green Light for Green Gas: IOCL Invites CBG Project Bids.

Indian Oil Corporation Ltd (IOCL) has issued an Expression of Interest (EoI) seeking implementation partners for setting up Compressed Biogas (CBG) plants across multiple states, as part of its clean energy and sustainability drive.

The initiative explores various implementation models, including Joint Venture Companies (JVC), EPC, BOO, BOOT, and LSTK. Each plant will be developed using locally available feedstock within a 20–30 km radius.

Selected partners will be responsible for a wide range of activities, including:

Land identification and acquisition, Detailed feasibility studies, Feedstock sourcing, Technology deployment

Plant design, construction, and O&M

The program supports India’s national bioenergy targets by promoting renewable fuel production, rural development, and waste-to-energy solutions.

The deadline to submit EoIs is 31 October 2025.
