The Rajasthan Cabinet has approved a ₹15,600-crore joint venture between Rajasthan Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam (RVUNL) and Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL).
Under this partnership, the JV will develop an 800 MW coal-based power plant and 1,500 MW of solar capacity in the state. The Cabinet has also allotted land for a major 765 kV power grid substation in Barmer, aimed at strengthening Rajasthan’s renewable energy transmission network. In addition, the state has cleared the Rajasthan Global Capability Centre (GCC) Policy 2025, designed to attract multinational companies to set up innovation hubs in Jaipur, Udaipur, and Jodhpur.
Furthering its global outreach, the government has approved the creation of a dedicated diaspora department to engage non-resident Rajasthani communities and promote investment in the state.
