Fueling Odisha's Growth: Sree Metaliks Invests ₹650 Crore in Iron Ore Project

Sree Metaliks intends to establish an Iron Ore Beneficiation plant with a capacity of 1 million tonnes per annum (tpa) and a Pellet plant with a capacity of 1.2 million tpa at Anra village, Telkoi tehsil in Keonjhar district of Odisha. The proposed plant area is strategically located with proximity to various water bodies and rivers such as Baitarani river, Bamuni nala, Jagadala nala, Chemda nala, Kadal nala, Patarpagi nala, and Malda river, facilitating water resource utilization and logistics.

To ensure seamless communication, BSNL towers have been installed within the plant premises, enabling efficient connectivity. Additionally, the company is committed to providing 24-hour power supply for uninterrupted operations, enhancing productivity and reliability.

The project entails the transportation of additional raw materials amounting to 735,850.5 tonnes per annum, necessitating the engagement of approximately 111.5 trucks per day based on a truck capacity of 22 tonnes. This translates to an operational requirement of around 14 trucks per hour, calculated on an hourly basis, to facilitate smooth material transportation.

Despite the industrial activities associated with the production of coal and other ancillary operations, Sree Metaliks emphasizes the conservation, protection, and sustainable improvement of flora and fauna in and around the project area, demonstrating its commitment to environmental stewardship and responsible resource management.

With a total project cost of 650 crores, the development of the Iron Ore Beneficiation and Pellet plants represents a significant investment in infrastructure and industrial development in the region, fostering economic growth and employment opportunities while adhering to environmental sustainability principles.
