TruAlt Bioenergy Bets Big with ₹600 Crore Expansion

TruAlt Bioenergy is poised to significantly bolster its production capacity by 2.7 lakh litres per day in the upcoming financial year, with a hefty investment of approximately Rs 600 crore earmarked for the establishment of 10 additional plants. This expansion initiative will bring the company's total number of plants to 15 and is slated to be implemented in Bijapur, Karnataka, and Pune, Maharashtra. Notably, TruAlt's existing facilities are already situated in these regions.

Based in Bengaluru, TruAlt Bioenergy anticipates a robust 30 percent revenue surge in the current fiscal year. The company specializes in the manufacturing of various biofuels, including 1G ethanol, 2G ethanol, compressed biogas, sustainable aviation fuel, fermented organic manure, and green hydrogen. Presently, it operates five 1G ethanol units with a collective capacity of two million lpd, along with a compressed biogas capacity of 10 tpd.

Moreover, TruAlt recently forged a USD 72-million compressed biogas joint venture with GAIL India, aiming to establish 10 plants dedicated to producing over 33 million kg of compressed biogas utilizing organic waste as a primary resource.
