Vedanta's Rs. 12 Crore Boost for Washery & Logistics in Chhattisgarh

Vedanta Washery & Logistic Solutions Private Limited is investing Rs. 12 Crores in Kunkuni Village, Tehsil Kharsia, District Raigarh, Chhattisgarh, to build an Iron Ore Beneficiation Plant. This enterprise will remove contaminants from iron ore, increasing its steelmaking value. The project would streamline ore processing in steel mills to increase production efficiency and save operating costs with a 1.2 MTPA capacity.

Iron ore beneficiation facility improves quality and reduces waste, promoting sustainable use. Crushing, grinding, washing, and magnetic separation are prevalent in beneficiation plants, but the technology used is unknown.

To reduce environmental consequences, this project relies on environmental rules and pollution management. The initiative is also projected to boost local employment and economic possibilities.

For Vedanta Washery & Logistic Solutions' beneficiation project to succeed and last, it must address issues like finding a sustainable water source, developing effective waste management strategies, and engaging the community to address environmental and social concerns.

As on January, 2024. Project has gotten approvals. All approvals were granted. By February 2024, project development will begin.
