Alba Drugs & Labs LLP planning to set up Drug & Intermediates Manufacturing Plant in Gujarat

Alba Drugs & Labs LLP proposes to build a bulk drug and drug intermediates manufacturing plant at Survey No. 19/1, 52/13, Near Gaytri Salt, Bhavnagar - Dholera Highway, Vill: Ganeshgadh-, Ta: & Dist: Bhavanagar-364001, Gujarat. The project is estimated to cost over $1 billion and create over 1,000 jobs. The new plant will be outfitted with cutting-edge gear and technology to manufacture high-quality bulk medicines and intermediates. 

The bulk medicines and intermediates will be employed in a wide range of pharmaceutical products, including pharmaceuticals, vaccines, and diagnostic kits. The project is projected to stimulate the local economy and offer new job possibilities. The project will also assist India in meeting its growing need for high-quality bulk medicines and intermediates. The project is currently in the planning stages and will be completed in 2025. The bulk drugs and intermediates will be used in a variety of pharmaceutical products, including drugs, vaccines, and diagnostic kits. The project is expected to have a positive impact on the environment as well. The new plant will be equipped with pollution control measures to minimize its environmental impact. Source of water will be met through Ganeshgadh Gram Panchayat Water Supply. Total water requirement will be 88.56 KL/Day (Fresh Water: 39.56 KLD + Recycled:49.0 KLD(MEE Condensate- 49.0 KLD)). Total 19935 m2 land area is available at site; out of this area about 6579 m2 (40%) area is covered as greenbelt and other forms of greenery Total capital investment for the proposed project is Rs. 5.0 crores.

As of September 2023, The project is now in the stage of construction being started the work on the project will be finished in 2024, 2025 or 2026 It has been decided to hire a local contractor.
