Sun Pharma: ₹3,000 Cr Plant Coming to Madhya Pradesh

Sun Pharmaceutical Industries has announced a ₹3,000 crore investment to establish a new greenfield formulations manufacturing facility in Madhya Pradesh.

The investment, approved by the board of Sun Pharma’s wholly owned subsidiary, Sun Pharma Laboratories, aligns with the company’s long-term growth strategy for the region. This initiative is part of Sun Pharma’s broader plan to expand its manufacturing capabilities and strengthen its presence in both domestic and global markets. Earlier, CFO Jayashree Satagopan highlighted that the company expects its India business to outpace market growth, supported by a strong focus on key therapies and brand-building efforts.

The planned expansion is expected to significantly boost Sun Pharma’s competitiveness and operational capacity at a time when its domestic business continues to exhibit strong growth momentum.
