BSPTCL’s ₹147 Crore Grid Upgrade: Bidding Now Live

Bihar State Power Transmission Company Limited (BSPTCL) has invited bids for the construction of three 132 kV double-circuit transmission lines on a turnkey basis, with an estimated project cost of ₹147.18 crore.

The scope of work includes design, supply, erection, testing, and commissioning of the transmission infrastructure. The project comprises the Ramnagar–Raxaul (new) line of 67 route km, the Chandauti (new)–Sherghati line of 10.5 route km along with an additional 1 km via XLPE cable, and the Dumraon (new)–Piro line of 38 route km.

The project aims to provide second-source connectivity to grid substations at Ramnagar, Sherghati, and Piro, thereby enhancing transmission reliability and network stability in the state. It forms part of Bihar’s broader efforts to strengthen power infrastructure and ensure reliable electricity supply.

The last date for submission of bids is April 27, 2026.
