SWELECT Energy Systems has entered the Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) market with the launch of its new NUMERGY product portfolio, marking a strategic expansion of its energy solutions offerings.
The company has also announced an investment of ₹150 crore to expand its solar module manufacturing facility in Coimbatore, doubling capacity to 2 GW by mid-2026. The expansion will include the manufacturing of module mounting structures and other critical balance-of-system components, further strengthening its integrated manufacturing capabilities.
The NUMERGY range caters to diverse energy needs, with NUMERGY HOME designed for residential and small office applications (1–10 kW), NUMERGY HYBRID for high-consumption homes and small commercial use (5–20 kW), and NUMERGY HP for larger commercial and industrial installations (30–50 kW). SWELECT plans to follow an integration-led approach for BESS deployment, prioritising calibrated growth aligned with market demand rather than mass production.
In parallel, the company is accelerating growth in its Independent Power Producer (IPP) business, targeting an increase in operational capacity from 150 MW to 1 GW over the next two years. This expansion is supported by a refreshed brand identity that underscores SWELECT’s evolution into a comprehensive energy solutions provider.
