UP Gets a Green Hero: Rs 4,000 Crore Renewable Energy Boost

Hero Future Energies (HFE), a subsidiary of the esteemed Hero Group, has recently formalized a significant commitment through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the government of Uttar Pradesh. Under this agreement, HFE pledges an investment of Rs 4,000 crore in a transformative venture focused on renewable energy and cutting-edge clean technology initiatives.

The signing ceremony took place on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting held in Davos, Switzerland, underscoring the global significance of this collaboration.

Presently, HFE boasts a robust portfolio encompassing three gigawatts (GW) of grid-connected wind, solar, and rooftop solar power assets strategically deployed in both India and Europe. Additionally, the company has an ambitious roadmap with two GW of projects in the pipeline across diverse locations such as India, Vietnam, Bangladesh, and the UK.

In furtherance of its commitment to sustainable growth, the Uttar Pradesh delegation engaged in meaningful discussions with key representatives from renowned entities such as HCL Technologies, Unilever, Nestle, Microsoft, and ReNew, fostering collaborative efforts towards a greener and more energy-efficient future.
