Adani Energy Solutions Ltd (AESL) has won a major ₹8,500 crore interstate transmission project to power green hydrogen, green ammonia, and digital infrastructure developments in Andhra Pradesh. Awarded through the Tariff-Based Competitive Bidding (TBCB) mechanism, the initiative will meet an estimated 4,500 MW demand in the Visakhapatnam region.
Implemented via the special purpose vehicle Vizag Power Transmission Ltd, the project features 1,582 circuit kilometres of transmission lines, 10,500 MVA of transformation capacity, and two high-capacity substations at Pendurthi and Khammam-II. This addition expands AESL’s total footprint to 29,531 circuit kilometres and 133,675 MVA, consolidating its leadership in India’s energy transition.
