APGCL Plans Thermal Power Plant in Assam

A thermal power plant is going to be built by Assam Power Generation Corporation Limited (APGCL) at the village of Dag No. 1 Saliki NC, located in Lekhapani Tehsil Makum Mouza, Margherita Revenue Circle, District Tinsukia, and State Assam.

It is anticipated that the total cost of the project would be 4383.98 Crores, and it will have a capacity of 660 MW.

A coal-fired boiler, a steam turbine generating unit, and a balance of plant (BOP) unit will make up the whole of the project.

Coal will be used as a fuel source for the project.

Power in the amount of 660 MW is anticipated to be produced by the project.

As on November 2023, The project is currently in the stage of being approved currently awaiting approval from the government.
