Bharat Heavy Electricals (BHEL) has been awarded a significant contract to enhance the capacity of the Deen Bandhu Chhotu Ram thermal power plant in Yamuna Nagar, Haryana. This expansion project involves the installation of a cutting-edge 1x800 MW ultra-supercritical unit for the Haryana Power Generation Corporation.
Under this contract, BHEL will provide a comprehensive range of services, including the supply of equipment such as boilers, turbines, generators, and associated auxiliaries, alongside electrical and C&I systems. Additionally, BHEL will manage the balance of plant packages, oversee erection & commissioning activities, and handle civil works. The project is slated to be completed within an estimated timeframe of 57 months.
BHEL, a renowned entity engaged in the design, engineering, manufacture, and servicing of various products and solutions across critical sectors like power, transmission, industry, and transportation, continues to demonstrate its prowess in executing large-scale projects.
Furthermore, BHEL recently secured another substantial order valued at Rs 15,000 crore from NLC India for the 3x800 MW Talabira Thermal Power Project in Jharsuguda, Odisha, reinforcing its position as a leading player in the power generation domain.
